Launching Shop FIFO to market
Capitalising on the success of the active FIFO Families Facebook community, Dash was engaged to design a new brandmark and build a web app that will enrich the fly-in fly-out industry.
Shop FIFO provides FIFO workers and their families with exclusive shopping and service deals from local businesses, free health resources and access to employers who are recruiting for new talent.
Our first step in the Shop FIFO project was to develop a brandmark and style guide that would inform the app’s appearance and overall marketing presence.
Starting from scratch, we explored a few different avenues and eventually landed on a brandmark that pays homage to the central idea of “flight.” Being an app for fly-in fly-out workers, the logo carries a subtle resemblance to bird’s wings, and the colours are a nod to Australia’s characteristic red earth and blue skies.
Built on WordPress, the Shop FIFO app is fully responsive and has a simple grid layout that is intuitive and easy to navigate. Brand styles, colours, and fonts that were identified in the brand development stage are consistently used throughout, providing users with a cohesive brand experience.
Inclusive of advertising spaces and payment portals serviced through Stripe, the application is built for immediate monetisation. Back-end access is available for administrators, job advertisers and business owners to manage new deals, job listings and more.
